Palenque, Chiapas, Mexico. Here lies one of the greatest treasure humanity ever received: the archaeological site of the Votan-dynasty with its temple of inscriptions and Pacal Votans' tomb, unique in the Mayan heritage. Pacal Votan lived from AD 631-683. The temple of Inscriptions was completed in AD 692 and by the time Pacal's son had constructed the Sun temple Palenque had become a powerful place who spread its influence all over from this central point.
